Q. What is your warranty?
A. We stand behind our tools and want you to be happy with your purchase. If at any time within the first year, you are not happy with the performance of your tool, you may return it for a refund, replacement, or exchange less shipping costs. If your tool head breaks within the first five years, you may contact us for a replacement. We ask that you send us a picture of the broken tool so that we can see how it failed. This helps us to know if it is something we are doing and can change or if it was faulty material. We know nothing is indestructible, but many customers have told us that our tools are pretty close.
Q. Why do you make so many styles of hoes?
A. We listen to our customers and try to build tools they request. We make many styles of hoes because people prefer different shapes and weight of hoe heads. Two lengths of handles are also available on the garden hoes. All of our tools are made to stay together. Customers tell us that our hoes are better than any other hoe you can buy and considering the quality very competively priced. People kept asking for scuffle hoes because they or someone they knew had had one, but they couldn't find one to buy. The field hoes are another hard to find item and are used by commercial growers as well as homeowners and landscapers throughout the country.
Q. Can I resharpen my tool?
A. Although the hardened steel holds an edge extremely well, your tool can be resharpened. Any type of sharpening stone or nearly new file will work. We use and recommend a sanding disk (50 - 120 grit) on an angle grinder.
Q. What warranty do your tools have?
A. Our tools are sold with "Satisfaction Guaranteed". The use of a synthetic wood/metal adhesive in the assembly process allows us to guarantee that the head will not get loose or come off. The hardened steel head is sold sharp and holds an edge surprisingly well. We pay extra for straight grain ash handles and offer them in a longer length than you can normally buy elsewhere.
Q. Which credit cards do you accept?
A. We accept all major credit cards and paypal.
Q. Can I cancel my order?
A. Yes, you can, as long as the item has not been shipped.
Q. Can I return an item that is damaged, defective, or I just don't want?
A. If, within 30 days, you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will replace the item or provide a credit for the full merchandise amount less any shipping charges.
Q. What happens if the item I ordered is not available?
A. We ship products within 1 week in the vast majority of cases. However, our hoes are handcrafted and on occasion, an order may be delayed due to availability or other circumstances. In the unlikely event there is a delay in filling your order, you may contact us by phone(800-536-5450) or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will be glad to tell you of the status of your order. In the unlikely event that the style you ordered is unavailbable we will notify you of these options:
- Offer an ALTERNATE selection of equal or greater value.
- Offer a BACKORDER and new estimated delivery. You can wait for the new delivery date, or cancel for a full refund at any time prior to shipment.
- CANCEL your order. On rare occasions new circumstances come to our attention after the placement of your order. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel your order for a full refund at any time.
Q. How long will it take to receive my order?
A. The standard shipping time for orders shipped via UPS ground or U.S. Postal Service is 5-10 days.
Q. Can I ship my order to a different address?
A. Yes! When you place your order and come to the Check Out screen, just replace your address with the address you want to ship your merchandise to, then continue. Shipping is $14 for the first tool and $5 for each additional tool sent to the same address. Remember to use a street address, not a Post Office Box, for any shipping address.
