Description
The head of this tool is made from 1/4″ thick hardened steel from reclaimed agricultural disc blades. The head is glued and riveted to our 40″ curved hickory handle (uses HH40 Replacement Handle) for extra stability. This extra heavy duty tool has a 6 inch wide cutting edge and a 2” wide spike to dig out embers, rocks, and roots.

This is a very versatile tool for MTB trail building in SoCal. This is my second order as the old one disappeared from the trail… The weight is perfect for prolonged work sessions; I can move a lot of dirt while it also works well on rocky sections. Strong enough to be used for compacting too. The only improvement I did was to epoxy the handle into the receptacle after it came loose. Now indestructible.
